Easy To Make Fried Apple Pies


• Pie Crust For 1-9 Inch Pie

Apple filling:

• 1 Large Granny Smith Apple, Diced

• 1 Tablespoon Butter

• 1 Tablespoon Sugar

• 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

• Oil For Frying, About 2 cups


For apple filling: Saute apple in butter until just softened. Add sugar and cinnamon and cook another 2 minutes. Allow to cool. Roll the dough out thin, on a floured surface. Cut 3-inch circles stretch slightly for an oval shape. Place a tablespoon of filling on half of each oval. Wet the edges & fold over, crimping shut with a fork. Heat the oil until around 350-365. Fry each pie for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Allow to drain and cool a few minutes before eating alone or with ice cream!
